About the Journal

Postgraduate English is a peer-reviewed, open access journal where postgraduates and early-career researchers globally can publish their work and receive feedback from established academics. The journal has been published since the year 2000, and is hosted by Durham University Department of English Studies, United Kingdom. We seek to provide early-stage researchers a supportive and transparent environment in which to gain experience working in their publication journey.

The Editorial Board of Postgraduate English includes about thirty established academics who advise across a wide range of research topics that fall broadly within the ambit of ‘English studies’, as well as interdisciplinary work, and all accepted submissions are double-blind peer reviewed.

The journal has an international outlook and encourages submissions from all over the world. There is no set academic style and we are open to diverse writing approaches. We invite submissions of academic articles and book reviews that demonstrate strength of argument and fresh insight. Please see our most recent call for papers for the current submission deadline.
